Ryding's School

Rydings is a co-educational day special school catering for children aged 5-16 years who mainly have moderate learning difficulties (there are also several children with emotional and behavioural difficulties or severe learning difficulties).

The School's Mission

We are a school devoted to raising the self-esteem of children with special educational needs.

We aspire to a secure, supportive and stimulating environment, where justice, tolerance, forgiveness and generosity are practised with courtesy, consideration and common sense.

We believe that each person should be known, loved and valued, and by encouragement realise his or her full potential through positive involvement and achievement.

We aim to develop the whole person and enable him or her to make a positive contribution to society.
